The Doobie Brothers & Michael McDonald
The famous Doobie Brothers together with the one and only Michael McDonald will take over the North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre on September 17, Thursday. The Doobie Brothers hails from San Jose, California and has been creating amazing rock music for over five decades. The members of the band are Tom Johnson for the vocals, Patrick Simons for the guitars, Michael McDonald for the keyboards, Marc Quinones for percussion, Marc Russo for saxophones, Ed Toth for drums and John Cowan for bass. The band eventually broke up on the early 80s but they regained their momentum and are coming together this year for a tour.
Michael McDonald is a member of the Doobie Brothers, however he has established his career as a solo artist. He is an American singer and songwriter plus keyboardist and even ventured as a producer after he went solo. Some of his best hit songs include Minute by Minute, and What a Food Believes. His solo venture gave him much influence as he was able to collaborate as a backing vocalist for Christopher Cross and Kenny Loggins. He was able to produce nine studio albums including some of the biggest songs of is solo career. He was induced as a member of the Rock & Roll of Fame as a part of The Doobie Brothers.
